Overlooking the gardens, forest and fells to the rear of the hotel our fully air conditioned new dining room with its polished silver cutlery, gleaming crystal glassware and stiff white napery sets the scene for a memorable experience.
For something a little less formal try our BISTRO.
Offering daily and seasonally changing menus, our chef’s use the finest ingredients which are sourced locally wherever possible. Canapés and amuse bouches complement these menus. Three or four courses are available 7 days a week.
At lunch time our chef offers a shorter version of the dinner menu – typically there are three starters and three main courses to choose from as well as our pudding selection.
Two or three courses are available Monday to Saturday.
With a more traditional feel, Sunday Lunch is always a great favourite. Offering excellent quality, locally scourced meats and fish with a selection of vegetables - silver served of course!

After tasting, slurping and spitting (non compulsory) our way through dozens of different wines we are confident that this current wine list is our best effort yet. We know it’s a tough job and we know that someone has to do it but please don’t feel sorry for Matthew, he accepts it as part and parcel of the job and just wants to be left alone to get on with it !
